Clemson University offers this facultyled program in Pamplona.

The program on Food Science is given through English by faculty and international leaders in the agricultural and food industry. It is aimed at University students who are interested in the agricultural and food industry and it will provide a general introduction to food science with an emphasis on Spain and Spanish Foods.

This 5 week program will offer two courses: the first one, Cultural Exploration of Spanish Foods and the second course offers immersive language and cultural lectures on Spain and Spanish culture. Both courses are combined with numerous tours and day trips to local and regional sites.

Course Content:

  • Sensory evaluation.
  • Food safety.
  • Food packaging.
  • Food technology and packaging.


  • 90 hours of training in areas related to Food Science and Spanish Language and Culture.
  • Cultural and technical visits.
  • Transport to and from the site visits.
  • Accommodation.
  • A farewell dinner.
